What to include in your message
- Your name and property city
- A room-by-room project list
- Clear photos from several angles
- Approximate dimensions when size matters
- Product links or model numbers for fixtures you already chose
- Any timing need such as move-in, inspection follow-up, or sale preparation
When another trade may be needed
If your project involves major electrical changes, significant plumbing work, roofing, HVAC, structural changes, active water intrusion, or another specialized system, describe that up front. We keep handyman work within an appropriate scope and do not try to turn a small-service visit into the wrong kind of project.

Photos that make a text more useful
For each repair, send one wide image that shows the whole wall, door, ceiling, sink, or fixture and one close image that shows the defect. If the project is above normal reach, include a photo that shows the ceiling height and floor area below. If you bought a replacement product, send the model number or a clear image of the box label.
For multiple items, label messages by room: “kitchen faucet,” “guest-room drywall,” “garage shelves,” and so on. That keeps a larger list easy to review.
Before the appointment
Clear reasonable access around the work area and move fragile personal items when practical. Keep customer-selected fixtures, brackets, shelves, or furniture in their boxes with all included hardware. If a repair follows a leak or storm, let us know what was done to stop the source and whether the area is fully dry.
If the scope changes before the visit, text the update. A new project may require different tools, materials, access equipment, or a different kind of service altogether.
A simple way to format a multi-project text
Start with the property city, then list each item on its own line: “1. Guest-room door rubs at top corner. 2. Two floating shelves need mounting in office. 3. Small drywall hole behind bedroom door. 4. Kitchen faucet replacement is already purchased.” Follow with photos in the same order.
This format is quick to review and makes it easier to identify missing measurements, product questions, or any item that may need a different trade before the appointment is set.
If you are not sure what the repair is called, describe what you see and what the item is supposed to do. Plain descriptions are enough to start the conversation.
